IAW\u2019s US business is facilitated from <strong>Cambridge, MA<\/strong> and EU from Antwerp, Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>IAW is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity &amp; inclusion in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>Due to IAW\u2019s business growth in the United States, we are looking to fill the position of\u00a0<strong><em>(Senior) Director Submission Process\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>who will operate as an\u00a0<em>external senior consultant<\/em>\u00a0to our customers predominantly in the\u00a0greater Boston area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Position Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this role, you are intended to work with little supervision and run client projects with client teams. You will act as the main project leader for the submission, while optimizing internal processes and coaching clients, employees, and managers. This position focuses on the submission process of the product and not on the content, which is the responsibility of client subject matter experts. Moving things forward, driving consensus and reaching milestones are crucial success factors. In addition, you will build and maintain your network, search for business development opportunities and approach decision makers to explain your expertise and added value.<\/p>\n<p>The position reports directly to the Managing Director\/Owner of IAW.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translate regulatory strategy for NDA\/MAA (and other) submissions into \u00a0detailed, optimized project plans.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate timely and high-quality execution of all submission activities.<\/li>\n<li>Work in close collaboration with regulatory and project management as well as clinical, nonclinical and CMC teams.<\/li>\n<li>Lead continuous improvement and implementation of processes for planning and development of global submissions.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate submission specific meetings and workshops.<\/li>\n<li>Work with stakeholders at all levels of the client organization as well as vendors and partners to ensure awareness of plans, milestones, and risks.<\/li>\n<li>Work with line managers in the client organization to identify gaps in existing capabilities, processes and organizational structures, as it pertains to submission preparation and optimizations.<\/li>\n<li>Support and guide development teams in finding solutions and implementing improvements in processes and performance, share practices and lessons learned. Leverage learning by training and communicating within the company.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective communication throughout the client\u2019s submission team.<\/li>\n<li>Build and expand your network of regulatory experts and industry leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Be open, involved, and active to attract business opportunities and potential new clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We are looking for candidates with<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A scientific or engineering master\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge of drug development is a must\u00a0(ideally data management, CMC, statistics, clinical (phase III) development<u>)<\/u>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Direct submission experience (initial NDA\/MAA is preferable) and a leading role in a submission team.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Proven project\/program management experience.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and to effectively handle conflicting priorities in a changing cross-departmental and international environment.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and self-governing personality. A proven track record showing the ability to work effectively and conscientiously when under tight schedules and with minimal direct supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability and experience in effectively bridging gaps between the various stakeholders and bringing their ideas and processes together.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills at all functional levels: involvement, active listening, and discretion when needed. Ability to lead complex discussions at all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Clear and direct communication style while retaining strong organization sensitivity and understanding of culture. Proven ability to speak up and challenge the status quo.<\/li>\n<li>The drive to be accurate, independent, and willing to challenge the existing client process or way of working and communicating,<\/li>\n<li>The need to be pro-active and result driven while showing the ability to take the next step.<\/li>\n<li>Proven analytical skills and willingness to apply systematic problem identification and resolution skills and\/or tools.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to influence without direct or assigned authority.<\/li>\n<li>The willingness to work on-site when requested, at our client\u2019s premises in the Greater Boston Area, and simultaneously be able to guide and facilitate client teams by remote management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with PM tools: MS Visio\/Concept Draw, MS Project and OnePager and\/or Smartsheet is preferable<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, results-oriented, down-to-earth, leader with strong commitment as well as the willingness to assume a high degree of responsibility.
